NEPTUNILEDEN IN BYXELKROK – 14.8 km

Cycle along Neptunileden – a stunning coastal route running through the heart of Byxelkrok, where you can enjoy constant views of the legendary island of Blå Jungfrun on the horizon.

Following winding cycle paths, the route follows the coastline from Hagskog in the south to Nabbelund in the north. The route passes, among other places, the nature reserve Neptuni Åkrar, known for its rich fossil deposits and beautiful fields of blue lupins.

In the southern part of Neptuni Åkrar lies Öland's northernmost burial ground and the stone Höga Flisa, traditionally used as a place of prayer by the Christian fishing community of Byxelkrok. Neptunileden is lined with limestone beaches inviting you to sunbathe and swim.

Tip:
From the northernmost point of the route, you can make a short detour to Öland's northern tip and the lighthouse Långe Erik – for a round trip of approximately 5 km.
