CYCLING ROUTE BÖDA – BYRUM – SKÄFTEKÄRR – 29.8 km
Starting at Böda Harbour on Öland´s east coast, this scenic cycling route takes you through charming villages before reaching the island´s vast pine forests.
From there, it's a short distance to the Byrum sea stacks, where you can stop for a refreshing swim before heading north along paths to the turning point.
Forest roads then take you to Skäftekärr's Iron Age village, one of the largest prehistoric sites in the Böda area. Here you can stop for a meal or a coffee. From Skäftekärr, you return towards Böda harbour.
Allow around two to three hours for the complete ride.
Tip:
If you would like a shorter ride. turn right onto Byrumsvägen after about 10 km and continue directly to Skäftekärr. This shortens the route to approximately 15 km.
